Night of the Elders

from Bald Mountain by Evoking Winds

/

lyrics

They reached the end of times,
Tomorrow will remain.
Night of the Elders comes,
We see their ghosts now again.

This poem is written with cries
Of those who joined dark tides:
The freedom to follow the vice
Has crossed their right to decide.
It wasn’t the price they should pay to rise.
They cried when necks broke by the steel collars.

You are here my friend,
Faded in the echoes.
Parted destinies unite
In Elders’ Night.

Forward!
Stand here together!
We’ll guide the death beyond.

The emptiness of homes,
Shows price of victories.
It’s never seen in tomes
Of fatal history.

This poem is written with cries
Of those who did not stand aside,
The army has shattered the skies
And died for their right to decide.
It wasn’t the price they should pay to rise.
They wanted their necks to be free of collars.

You are here my friend,
Faded in the echoes.
Broken destinies unite
In Elders’ Night.
