We shall go when you’re awake.
We will join grey hawk’s flight,
Soaring over the endless lake,
Gliding in the streams of time.
When you feel the cold in lungs,
Open your heart for a humid breeze.
It will show the days unsung
And the distant destinies.
You will notice our land
Being tender as young grass,
So defenseless in your hands,
And so powerful at wrath.
The charm of distant shining waves
Dancing with the light below
Shows us the essential path:
We will follow silent dawn.
Can you see the forest crown?
We will wander far beyond
When the day wanes at sundown
We will breathe and stare spellbound.
We will touch the land with eyes
Joining the water glow
And my friend, through all the times
We will follow silent dawn.

Once Alive
04:34
|
|
||
At last, you noticed smoke in the evening skies.
Today you traveled far and sought for slaves
In strangers’ lands.
He’ll pay for every village, you will find
In ancient swamps, you need to go and get your gold.
The horse has stumbled entering the Forest.
Silly steed took your whip
And, again, you ride on.
Through the pines, on the road
Hooves will beat deadly song.
Ride ahead to the smoke,
Cover head with the hood.
And your route’s getting clear -
Take a trail in the wood.
Notice light - go for it
You will scout in the mist.
Take the bow in your hands:
Very soon you’ll need it.
Sleeping pigs in their beds
Won’t defend in the fight.
You will scout in the dark
And prepare for triumph.
Smile illuminates your tired face
What a shame. You got confused with marshland lights.
Forget them now…
The night has come.
You switched the bow to a naked blade.
And with dismay, you burned the torch to shine the way,
But couldn’t notice quiet steps behind your back.
Gloom hides the road,
Treading on your ride,
Slowing down running horse,
Like the dead darkness tide.
Look around, where you are?
You have lost all the tracks.
And you hear worrying sounds,
Run as fast as you can.
Howling wolves start the hunt
With the hunger in eyes.
Branches slash startled face,
And they feel primal fear.
Bare fangs, greedy roar
Chase the dumb frightened boar,
Lonely crying at night
For the ones who could come.
Careless and blunt
Lie in wet land -
This is the tale
Forests will tell
By glowing eyes
In the nightfall.
Fools, once alive,
No step could crawl.

Her Clock
04:42
|
|
||
Once upon a day in summer-time
I passed through a village. In a dreary line
On both sides of the winding narrow lane,
the houses stood there, grey, decayed.
Dancing silence of dark cloak
Makes the servants follow her.
Each of them will bring the clock,
So that we bear in mind the time.
Like old rags, dull and frowsty;
In the walls their windows staring blindly back,
And even the thatch itself was rotted black.
All was ruins, grown old.
Here death had come crawling,
Showing all shapes of despair,
Like a trickster laughing at swaggering men,
Reminding who holds master’s chair.
Once upon a night in summer-time
She took a clock and went in a dreary line.
On both sides of the winding narrow lane,
the houses stood there, grey, decayed.
She walks again, like thousand times
Before, in every human age,
Painting neighbors with dark stains,
Making people count for days.
Here death comes crawling,
Showing all shapes of despair,
Like a trickster laughing at swaggering men,
Reminding who holds master’s chair.
Dancing silence of dark cloak
Makes the servants follow her.
Each of them will bring the clock,
So that we bear in mind the time.

Thunder Candle
04:18
|
|
||
We’ll call for spring for the first time,
Master of woods soon will awake.
Then we will make thunder candle
And touch our hair with its flame.
We’ll bring it home so the smoke
Clears every corner from the unnamed.
We’ll burn the sun cross at the doors
So, no one unwelcome would enter.
When skies collapse with quake
The elder man shapes the wax with hands
Life of the sparks dwells
In the words, the candle tells
Hearing human spells.
Flame is dancing in his eyes,
As the knife helps to finish relic’s birth.
Thunder’s guard dwells
In the candle oldman makes
Whispering his spells.
When nature will sing a summer song
This candle will save our home
From lightning and its hungry fire:
Like sister calms down her brother.
This candle was born with your thunder:
We’ll burn it to welcome new ones.
We’ll burn it to guard what we love.
We’ll burn it to say the last farewell.
When skies collapse with quake
The elder man shapes the wax with hands
Life of the sparks dwells
In the words, the candle tells
Hearing human spells.
Flame is dancing in his eyes,
As the knife helps to finish relic’s birth.
Thunder’s guard dwells
In the candle oldman makes
Whispering his spells.

Their Debt
05:22
|
|
||
Some time ago, there forest stood,
And its’ spirit was our neighbor.
Some time ago, they cut the wood –
He vanished leaving just a mirror.
Like a window to the distant world
The mirror lies in a lonely land.
It saves in never-ending cold
All those who’ll never live again.
Crooked they lie till the ends of time
Waiting for their debt could be repaid.
Nothing left that could help remind
Why they lie in this lonely land.
Dead bones stick out from swamp
They feel so hungry, they feel so raw.
Ashen light reveals skulls
Staring at the night sky in search of the moon.
Dark rust covered their swords
Ate up their armor, decayed their souls.
One day they could repay
Their debt to one who will gather us all.
Some time ago, there people lived,
Who didn’t come when was their turn.
Some time ago, they broke the oath –
And fled in woods with no defense.
Like a window to the distant world
The mirror lies on lonely land.
It saves in never-ending cold
All those who’ll never live again.
Restless wraiths walk around the swamp,
Seeking for warmth they couldn’t feel.
Day and night they can’t forgive and forget
Why they wonder in this lonely land.
Dead bones stick out from swamp
They feel so hungry, they feel so raw.
Ashen light reveals skulls
Staring at the night sky in search of the moon.
Dark rust covered their swords
Ate up their armor, decayed their souls.
One day they could repay
Their debt to one who will gather us all.

Can you see the eyes in ancient pines?
Can you hear forgotten words?
Can you smell how salt and smoke collide?
Can you feel the wetness of the stones?
Can you ever understand the way
The forests run their turns?
Can you touch the earth with hands
As her child, putting down your sword?
Do you hear the sound
That’s a sad silvan starts,
Playing his woeful notes?
Under his old hands
As tense strings vibrate
Thin trunks of firs and pines.
The silent hymn
Continues to flow
Down the hills to the lake.
Like a thousand strings
The forest rings
Its woeful song.
Can you tell me why
The lake went dark
In the daylight?
Can you tell me why
The rye went loud?
What winds are whispering?
Can you tell me what
Is shining on
The old pines view?
Can you tell if those
Are drops of tears
Or freezing dew?
Can you see the eyes in ancient pines?
Can you hear forgotten words?
Can you smell how salt and smoke collide?
Can you feel the wetness of the stones?
Can you ever understand the way
The forests run their turns?
Can you touch the earth with hands
As her child, putting down your sword?

Echoes
04:01
|
|
||
Hear the drum: in the skies,
Where grey lies fires come.
Flaming axe shreds the line
With sacred signs of the sun.
Silently sun wheeled down the hill,
Painting welkins with the ash.
Raising winds take your breath,
Haunting echoes follow them.
Grace of coming shadow storm
Makes the waiving waters warm,
Will you touch the humid stone?
Can you feel your spirit’s home?
Ancient stories come to us
Through the water flows.
Rain had seen us thousand times:
This is our home.
Rays of light will pierce the сlouds
Showing you the road to gods,
Raising winds take your breath,
Haunting echoes follow them.
Grace of distant welcome sun
Shows new circle has begun,
Will you walk the rainbow’s path?
Can you feel your spirit’s home?
Relict mermaids are awake,
Watching the sky’s deep.
Rain sails above the lake
And whispers to them: “Sleep...”
Hear the drum: in the skies,
Where grey lies fires come.
Flaming axe shreds the line
With sacred signs of the sun.
